Philippine Modes of Transportation

Travelling to the Philippines gives foreigners a chance to know what it is like living in a tropical country such as this. They will also get to experience diverse cultures and traditions influenced by the many different races that tried to colonise it in the past. More than that, foreigners will take witness of how wonderful the Philippines and its people are.

Getting around the country is no longer a problem – what with the daily schedules for domestic and international flights, ships, and ferries. In land, you will find all sorts of transportation from “jeepneys” to tricycles to bicycles. You will find taxis and vans for hire, which can take you anywhere you want to. Yet, if you really want to experience the modest life of the Filipino people, then you should try riding a jeepney, tricycle (a motorcycle with a sidecar) or a “habal-habal” (a motorcycle that can hold as many as six people and even more in the rural areas).
